BPS celebrates World Environment Day


Birla Public School (BPS) recently celebrated World Environment Day 2021 on a virtual platform under the theme – “Ecosystem Restoration”, with the aim of raising awareness among children on ways to restore the environment. ‘ecosystem.

Students from all sections attended the performance and some spoke of the significance of the day.
The students dressed in shades of greens and blues represented the colors of the Earth. The children were made aware of the importance of understanding their role in protecting the environment in the least possible way; reduce or limit their needs; reuse things and materials as much as possible; refuse to abuse; find a way to reuse objects; and above all recycle waste. The PowerPoint presentation highlighted the importance and ways to save water, plant more trees, take care of animals and keep the surroundings litter-free.
The program also included a documentary published by the UN and a quiz. Vice President Shaymanti Bhowmik performed a song based on the music of the popular song “Do Re Me”, to emphasize necessary precautions during the current pandemic.
BPS Principal AP Sharma and Deputy Principal, Co-Schools Rajesh Pillai praised the efforts of School Eco Club members and encouraged them to be agile environmental warriors.
