Mangaluru: Srinivas University College of Aeronautical Studies Celebrates Virtual World Environment Day

Mangaluru, June 7: On Saturday, June 5, the College of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University (SU) hosted a virtual World Environment Day celebration.

The NSS and the Social Services Wing of the College of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University virtually organized various activities such as the planting of saplings and discussions on environmental issues.

Guest of Honour, Former Director of Mangalore International Airport and President of the College of Aeronautical Studies Professor M. R. Vasudeva, Special Guest Associate Professor of Department of Chemistry – SUCET, Mukka Dr. Shubra Jyotsna Aithal and Research Director of the College of Management and of Commerce Dr Shailashree VT chaired the function and inspired the students to work collectively for the protection of the earth and stressed the need to build a greener world.

Chief Visiting Vice Chancellor of Srinivas University, Dr. P.S. Aithal said the aim of celebrating the Environment Day is to make the younger generation more aware of environmental protection . The program ended with a vote of thanks from the BBA Aviation Studies course coordinator, Professor Kavyashree. About 254 students actively participated in the whole event.

The event was planned and coordinated by Prof. Jayaprakash, Coordinator of NSS and Unnath Bharath under the guidance of Prof. Pavitra Kumari, Dean of the College of Aeronautical Studies, Srinivas University.

Aviation College faculty members were present for the program.
