On World Environment Day, Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun fight for a greener planet


On World Environment Day on Saturday, Telugu stars Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu took to Twitter and urged people to adopt eco-friendly habits and strive to do world a better and greener place.

Arjun said let’s all pledge to plant more saplings. He even started an initiative and asked his fans to plant saplings and share pictures of them on Twitter using the hashtag GoGreenWithAA.

“On this #WorldEnvironmentDay, let’s commit to planting more trees, adopting eco-friendly habits, appreciating what nature does for us, and making our planet a greener place for the next generation. This is a cause close to my heart,” Arjun wrote.

He even shared a photo of watering a freshly planted tree in his garden.

“I am now asking everyone to take the initiative. Share a photo of you planting a sapling and I’ll share some of them. Let’s work together to save the planet and #GoGreenWithAA,” he added.

Mahesh Babu, on the other hand, urged people to save ecosystems that are on the verge of degradation.

“This #WorldEnvironmentDay is committed to reimagining, recreating and restoring ecosystems that are on the verge of further degradation. Let us strive to make our planet greener day by day!” Mahesh wrote.

On the career side, Allu Arjun is currently awaiting the release of the next pan-Indian film Pushpa. The film, which is directed by Sukumar, will mark Arjun’s Bollywood debut as it will also be released in Hindi.

Mahesh Babu will soon resume work on his next Telugu film Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
